Frequently asked questions!

1. What does a breeder do?

They're a combination of trainer and coordinator. They battle their Pokemon to bring out their top strength and they also show off their skills to bring out top flair. They also breed their teams together at the Daycare to produce eggs with top movesets and potential.

2. B-b-but... I have a dream team that I want to bring up on Aeotia! 

After you make your first human character, you may have a character with pre-made Pokemon. BUT WAIT! These Pokemon have level caps. If you're a Member, your premades can only start out at level 30 or below. You have to raise them yourself if you want their levels to go up after that. No level 100 Pokemon, that's unreasonable. 

3. When are the bans going to go away? I want a darn Shiny Pokemon!

Some Pokemon are too rare or too overused, and that's why they were banned, don't get anrgy about it. Occasionally you may find people who are willing to trade you some Pokemon at the Trading Center.

4. Why was I banned from the cbox/site?

You probably broke the rules in some way or another. If you disagree with your ban, do not make another account. This is called BAN EVASION. If you were banned from the cbox, please PM a moderator politely. If you were banned from the site, then talk to us on the cbox nicely.

5. My account is gone!/ I can't log in!

If you had an account on here but you can't log in, make sure that you have the right log-in information. If you're certain that you do, then your account was probably deleted in an activity check. If this was the case, then simply remake your account with the same username and talk to a staff member. Everything will be fine!

6. Where did my Pokemon go!  

In the Giveaway, probably, where they were adopted.

7. So I want to make another character. I just make another account, right?

No, no, no, no, no!!! This is called fraud and also impersonation issues. We've had problems in the past with people making multiple accounts, trading PP and rare Pokemon amongst each other (Very unfair). Having an IP traced to multiple accounts will lead to a deletion and possibly a ban. If your sibling or friend has an account and you guys share IPs, please let staff know so we don't accidentally delete them off without knowing,

8. Um, how much do I have to write for my biography?

We don't have word minimums here, but please try to write more than a sentence. If a mod asks you to add something or take something away, please do so without a fuss. It's not worth it.

9. Some person was bullying me/another person in the cbox. Help!

Please PM another staff member nicely about the situation, and they will take disciplinary action. Do not try and handle the member yourself. We will take care of it.

10. How do eggs work?

Well, when two Pokemon love each other very much and...just kidding!

You can get eggs two ways: an Egg Giveaway and through the Daycare. If you want to put two Pokemon in the daycare, just fill out the form and an egg may show up. Check the Daycare area for more about getting an egg through there.

Egg Giveaways, this is an special event where members are given one free egg. This event will be explained whenever it happens. Pm a staff member if you need more information. 

11. Can we use Canon Characters (like Naruto or Ash)?

Nope! This is an entirely OC (original character) RP. You may use FaceClaims to show what your character looks like, but they can't be a exact copy of that person. Be original! Check the faceclaim thread to check out what faces are claimed and to claim a face. 

12. I don't know much about the Aeotia Region. Can my character come from the other regions?

Yes! The other regions are known here, all Pokemon available. 

13. I love the site but...I don't know how to roleplay Pokemon. Help?

If you've ever roleplayed wolves or horses (or just animals in general), then you can play the Pokemon. It's just that we also have human characters as well. Bulbapedia is a great tool for learning movesets and abilities. 

14. OMG I HAVE THIS SUPER AWESOME PLOT WITH UNICORNS AND MUFFINS AND...

Whoa, okay slow it down. I'd take it to Plots & Ideas first to make sure it's not too over the top, but if it's something simple and unique, great! Please share! I'm sure everyone would love to join in!!!!!!!

15. Urgh...I kind of want to restart. Help?

Just ask a mod to move your character/inventory to the Graveyard. We encourage in-character development though. If you don't like the way your character acts, then plot with someone to make your character change their ways. Everything will work out either way!

16. Can I make a Pokemon?

Yes, play a Pokemon! We always need legendary Pokemon too, so you can ask Sorrel for one of those. However, your own character cannot capture your Pokemon character, but another character may (you still control the Pokemon). Your Pokemon character can start anywhere in the region.

17. Can my trainer be allowed to understand Pokemon?

Yes, and it also works the other way. You can have your trainer understand all Pokemon, no Pokemon, everyone's except his own, or only his, it's up to you! Have fun with that!!

18. Are we allowed to have weapons?

Typically you aren't allowed to have weapons because your Pokemon are your weapons, but if you really want on just pm Sorrel about it.

19. When am I allowed to ask for a Pokemon in the Pokemon Giveaway?

After your first character gets their starter Pokemon.
